Moment In Time

Wild Ride

“ HUP” I commanded and from there on it got real. Laurelle clasped the leading rope, ready to pull it. Willow's back quivered as she threw her head back to inspect what was weighing her down.  “ FAR OUT '' I cried as Willow sternly put her ears backward. The ferocious pony took off like the wind. Her jet black mane flew into my face blurring my vision and inducing panic. I could hardly see as I gripped onto the diy bridle, a stingy pink lead we had pulled out of the garage and tied into a loop, and hoped I didn't lose my dear life. So many wild thoughts were rushing through my mind, hesitation, fear but most importantly what will happen next?

Laurelle was struggling to control Willow; she was being dragged by the lead, taking along hunks of dirt with her. I wobbled on the rear end of the horse bellowing fear sounds…. Laurelle had lost her hope, there was no way she could hold onto the horse lead any longer. She, laurelle unclenched her feet from the field and let go, causing me to somersault off the end of Willow, I had taken for the ground!. “OOOOOUCH'' my mind AND mouth were screeching in agony.

Laurelle frightened Willow kicking her back down the hill, “ WATCH OUT!” she cried. My life flashed before my eyes as I thought I could see the light. I rolled over making a quick escape from being trampled. I stood up, terrified, and limping on my right leg. Laurelle stepped one foot closer towards me. “My back is broken” I exclaimed, we locked eyes, nothing in the moment could have possibly been funnier. We shrieked in laughter. She lent out her arm and giggled.
